Blow-vacs and Shredders

Blow vacs are a valuable addition to your domestic or commercial needs, helping to keep your garden lawns and area clean of unwanted leaves, grass cuttings and wind debris.
Either mains electricity or petrol engines, depending on requirements, power them.
There are hand held or walk-behind machines that make it easier to clean small or large areas. Some machines have a mulching cutter, which helps to recycle.Blow-vac

Shredders provide you with the basis for a clean and healthy garden enabling you to recycle your shredded waste into compost therefore helping put nutrients back into the soil. Either mains electric or petrol engines also power these machines.

Composting Tips

Composting Tips:
1. Shred garden waste prior to composting to help the rotting process.
2. Compost-heaps should not be more than 80 cm high, to guarantee a good supply of oxygen.Shredder
3. Keep the compost moist to help activate the decomposition of the waste.
4. Put compost heap directly on the ground to allow insects to penetrate from below.
5. Only put suitable waste, e.g., tree cuttings, grass, leaves and organic kitchen waste on the heap in layers.
6. Do not use unsuitable material such as metal, glass, plastic or paper printed in colour.
7. Select a site that is ideally out of wind and sheltered, i.e. under a tree.
8. Start with a layer of shredded branches then by mixed layers of fine and coarse material.
9. Occasionally layer with composted material or lime to accelerate the process.
10. Cover the finished compost heap, e.g old carpet, and turn it over regularly to promote faster composting.
